Poconos Timeshares

We are looking for information on timeshares in the Poconos. Would be interested in taking day or overnight trips to New York City, Philadelphia and Cooperstown, NY. from them. Is that feasible? Thanks.

Philly definitely yes. New York is about a two-hour drive or maybe a bit longer depending on where you're staying and how close you are to Route 80, the major artery that goes from the Poconos to NYC. Cooperstown would be quite a long trip, I think. Let's see...Mapquest says 3 hours 15 minutes from Shawnee on Delaware to Cooperstown.

Philli is about a 2-hr drive but New York should be less then that (perhaps an hour to 1.5-hr). There is a fair amount to do in the Poconos and if you really want to do day trips you might be able to see stuff in both NY and Philli but it would be a lot of driving.

If you got something in New Jersey you would be able to do the same thing with less driving.

Cooperstown

We did Cooperstown as a day trip from Poconos (not Shawnee but other close TS). Probaby would have liked more time in Cooperstown, but it is doable.

The Shawnee timeshares offer day trips to NYC and Philadelphia. They arrange the tour and you take a bus from the resort.
