If you do visit Williamsburg, a really good ghost tour in Williamsburg is Colonial Ghosts. Check out their website, https://www.colonialghosts.com - they have some nice videos on there and a blog. Another great service is one that they use, and it is itourmobile, which lets you take self guided, GPS-guided audio tours of the area including colonial williamsburg and william and mary.

When we are entertaining visitors, we include crossing the James then turning right around to ride the ferry back, using the imagination that we're heading up the river to the Jamestown settlement.

Waller Mill Park is normally great for picnicking, boating and fishing. Under construction in 2015.
