You know, there's still one place in the Poconos that has an ad with a couple in a champagne-glass bathtub. It's a "couples only" resort. I try not to think about it too much. One of the Caesars maybe?

There are still plenty of people around here who, when I say we're going to the Poconos, sing, "Beautiful Mount Air-y Lodge!" Remember the old ad for Mount Airy?

I think Cove haven still has both the red tubs and the Chamagne glass. We used to go to the Summit years ago and they had the heart shaped red Tubs.

We stayed at one of the Caesar's resorts (off of 209) a few years back. Our room was one of the "cheaper ones"; and had the heart shaped tub (w/ mirrors all around and on the ceiling over the tub). The more expensive rooms had the champagne glass tub and/or swimming pool in the room.

The red tubs at RVII are nothing like the above mentioned tubs....just round and deep (a bit difficult to get into). I didn't even try to use the red tub on our recent visit this summer. My daughter used it once; but complained that the hot water ran out long before she had the tub filled to a level that she liked. I enjoy taking baths....but the red tub was the only "bath option" in our RVII unit. The showers were a nice size, tho....and we had good water pressure.

This is true--they're not "romantic." They're more apres-ski, "hey baby, come on over to my place, we'll rap in the soaking tub." To which the appropriate response would be, "Groovy!"
