Any updates on this new Williamsburg Resort

RCI has added Parkside Resort (8721) & Parkside
Golf Villas in Williamsburg, Virginia to its network.

The 784-unit resort was named an RCI Gold Crown
Resort and will be part of the RCI Points program.

Parkside Resort

I made a reservation here through RCI points in April, 2008. My reservation was for August 17 to 24. As I followed the progress of construction on the Parkside Resort website, I grew concerned that it would not be ready in time so I started phoning the project management team for updates. Finally, 2 weeks before my check-in date, they admitted it would only be ready on August 21. I note that they have just officially opened this week. I was not impressed with Parkside management for putting me in that position. RCI came through in the end and found me a three bedroom at King's Creek as a replacement.

What type of promotion is the new Parkside Resort (8721)
offering this fall for doing the tour & previewng the resort

Parkside Resort is now open...

The first building is now complete & just opened in September.
Bldg 1 has 36 units (#1-12) on each of the three floors/levels.

The exterior of the first level is done in brick,
The exterior of the second level is blue and,
The exterior of the third level is cream color.

Registration and Check-in are located in Building 1 - Unit 4112.

Parkside Resort is located:

5 miles from Williamsburg along the Merrimac Trail Route 143 and
conv to Interstate 64/Route 199, just 54 miles from Richmond Va.

Parkside Resort

The CLUBHOUSE will not "open " until JANUARY 2009
The GAME ROOM is expected to be open by MARCH 2009

The HEALTH CLUB will be OPENED at the end of 2009
The SAUNA is expected to be open by the end of 2009

The ONSITE POOL is not available but arrangements
have been made with the nearby Country Club for
pool accessibility. The distance to the Country Club
is the same as that to the onsite pool from the units

We saw this resort about two weeks ago. Looks very nice from the outside. One huge white building was completed. This resort is less than 5 miles from Busch Garden and Water Country USA. It is also near a new shopping center complex and a new Super Wal-Mart.

So much of Williamsburg is getting built up. It's sad to see the green disappearing. With so many other TS in the area, I can't believe another one is opening.
