  • What are the eateries to die for in Virginia Beach?

Taking up Jimbo on his offer to stay at Ocean Beach Club.
Caroll just had a birthday, then there was Valentines Day, and my birthday is coming up soon. We plan to splurge a little.

Wish to take in a night spot overlooking the ocean and VB strip. Suggestions for a couple lunch places and dinner spots, anyone?

We haven't been to VA Beach for a few years, but we like Steinhilber's Thalia Acres Inn. It is not on the beach, but on the Lynnhaven River.

Steinhilber's is fab! but off the beaten path.

Try The Lynnhaven Fish House up near the Bay Bridge. It's on Starfish Rd right off Shore Drive (excellent!)

some others to try that are right at the ocean front:
      Rudee's On The Inlet
      Mahi Mah's
      Waterman's ( 5th street - recently renovated)
      IL Giordino's (Italian)
Catch 31 and Salacia at the Hilton Oceanfront are very nice
(These are the restaurants that are pretty much around the hotel area- let me know if you want something different and out of the way)
      Hope this helps!

          Enjoy!

I'll ask the ladies when they return today / tonight what the would suggest. I'll try to post something late tonight.

Enjoy a few days aways at the beach. My wife said the view was great! Right on the beach and all.

            Seafood Buffet

If you are looking for an all you can eat there is always Captain George's Seafood Buffet. While it not what I would call to die for you will get a belly full for your money. Are you going to have transportation, if so there is a large grouping of upscale resturants at the Va Beach Town Center. You can look them up online for a listing.

Another February stay at Virginia Beach

Just returned. This time the temps were up. Had 2 days of 75.

Last year we tried the Waterman's (5th street on the ocean front) and Rockafeller's (on Rudee's Inlet). Both were great.

This time, on the west side of Lynnhaven Cove, near the Bay Bridge, we found Croakers... right on Shore Drive (excellent!). Not fancy... We only paid for the dinner. CAN'T SAY MUCH FOR THE BUILDING... A comfy old folks(OF) fish place. All meals were $12.99.

We did two other OF places:
Nicks Hospitality Restaurant, at 508 Laskin Rd and Beach Pub at 1001 Laskin Road. Food GREAT. Prices very reasonable.

We also hit Abbey Road (on 22nd, between Atlantic and Pacific. Prices were OK but the food and service spoke of off-season.
