We have reservations in July. We have never been to this area -- any suggestions? How far is D.C.? I assume we will fly into one of the D. C. airports and rent a car there. Probably just my husband and I, maybe my son and grandson (1 1/2 yr. old). Thanks for the help.

What is your point, why would someone re-register and not just use the screen name they had. Please show us where this person who at 7:31pm EDT has one post was here before asking this question?

Google Maps and MapQuest will tell you everything you want to know about distances and driving times, have you used them before, it's easy?

You've certainly found Massanutten Resort: A Four Season Resort Located in the Beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia where lots of what you're asking is posted.

You've got a head start on the trip out to Mass-of-Nuttin Resort if you fly into IAD, but if DCA is cheaper, go for it. BWI is on the wrong side of town but can sometimes be much cheaper because of Soutwest competition.

Spence is knowledgeable about the DC area - and can probably supply other information for your trip.

I also like to Google the chamber of commerce for the areas I visit to get additional information about activities and sights to visit in the area.

Hi Brice,

You will love this area. The Resort is tremendous with so many things for the kidsto do. Plenty of restaurants within driving distance. Washington is not that faraway but you will enjoy many parts of Virginia. Its one of my favorite states.

A short distance awy is the Shanandoah National Park. We loved it. Did some hiking on the Appalachian Trail.

Plenty of things to do for kids within driving distance. I will check my files as Its been about 6 yrs since I was there.

We also stayed in the town Patsy Cline was born in at a timeshare not far from there. Had corn mazes, drive through animal preserve. Think it was scranton

Just so you know we do not make money here in fact we do prety good at losing some but we are working on getting even.

Now look at the date he posted and you will see he posted on Presidents week, My self and half the staff and most of the members were away. You should know that Scott. Where were you on that week?

May I ask what dates and unit number you have reserved
Also which airport will be flying into? How old is your son?

Considered a Standard Accommodation by RCI, Eagle Trace at Killy Court
units are in two three-story hotel style buildings. Units are two-bedroom,
each unit sleeping 6 comfortably. The unit can be locked out to a one (1)
bedroom condo, which sleeps four, & a simple bedroom unit that sleeps two.
