My daughter is wanting to take her family (children ages 5 & 7) to Williamsburg in the summer. Any recommendations on timeshares? I trade both with RCI and II.

This summer?
If so better use II because there are no large units in RCI for this year and only Powhatan for next year has 2BDRMs showing.Lawren

Good morning. Williamsburg is one of our favorite destinations. I highly recommend Powhattan Plantation. My husband and I stay there every year. It's close to activities, and yet there's enough activities on the Plantation to entertain children for hours. I hope they have a wonderful vacation. Best wishes, Gail

Availability is scarce in RCI. But we thought Kingsgate was fun - our kids were 4 and 6 at the time we went over New Years and they enjoyed the video game room which is blacked out so everything light colored glows (there is one with games that are more violent and another room with games that are appropriate for younger kids.) 2/3 of the units should be completely redone this spring and the new ones look great. They have access to pools and amenities at all three Wyndham properties in Williamsburg. There is a $5/day use fee per room which includes unlimited video games, mini golf, etc. It might be possible to still rent something for the summer if no exchange is showing. Governor's Green is with II and it is the newer Wyndham resort. We thought it was nice too.

Not sure what WP has for kid's pools, but you might want to avoid the 2 br.units with limited kitchens- they are second floor units.

Whyndham Governors Green might be an option (if avail.) we stayed there a few years ago and thought it was a really nice place. nice pool, playground, putt- putt ect. alot of room to move - close to new shopping centers/ grocery stores ect. rooms were in good shape with everything you'd expect from a timeshare villa.
