  • Tornadoes Batter Southeast Virginia

    April 28, 2008 Rampage Injures 200,
    Flips Cars and Demolishes Homes

Virginia officials today will be inspecting the damage from three tornadoes
that ripped across southeastern Virginia yesterday afternoon,
overturning autos, demolishing houses and injuring as many as 200 people.

Anyone read or heard anything about any damage to any of the
timeshares in the Virginia Beach (Williamsbrug) area of SE Virginia?

So many Tuggers and TimeshareForum members live in this area
Hopefully all are safe & did not have any timeshare/house damage.

Posting this in Mid Atlantic States Virginia
because of all the timeshares in that area
and would like feedback on the VA Resorts.

Williamsburg and Virginia Beach were not affected.
The problem with real life is that there is no background music.

MY SIL lives not far from there and I have not heard anything about this. I will have my wife call her to make sure.

        The Damage

I live 15 minutes from where the worst hit. I was standing in one of the stores a week ago that is no longer standing today. No loss of life reported. Lots of damage but things can be rebuilt. The area affected is located midway between Williamsburg and Va Beach but on the other side of the James River. The best part was the time of day it happened. Most people were still at work. There is a hospital that it seems the tornado jumped over. Destroyed a neighborhood less than a block away on each side. Debris from the storm was landing about 30 miles away.
