Thaks for the update - I have friends who are visiting down there over the holidays. I hope the bridge reopens in time for the summer tourist season.

Interesting...I'm staying at Governor's Green that week...Has anyone ever checked this out before? Worth the price of admission?

My wife and I have not been there before. We have stayed at Powhatan Plantation. Next time we are going to Green Springs Plantation.

You can also purchase discounted tickets thru MD National Capital Park and Planning Commission for $47. I think you have to be a MD resident though.

Your best bet is to buy the bounce tickets online at Busch Gardens. Unlimited access to CW, BG, and Water Country USA for a week (for I belive $99/adult). Includes free parking at BG and WC. GREAT deal.

We've purchased the bouce tickets in the past and they really are a great deal. Plus, you don't feel like you need to spend the entire day at the parks to get your money's worth. We either go very early and stay until about 2:00 or arrive after 3:00 and stay until the park closes.

Forget to mention, children 5 and younger get a free ticket when an adult purchases a bounce ticket. We took advantage of this a couple of times when the kids were young. Adult price (18 and up) $102.80, children 6-17 $86.

I would also suggest buying the BG Platinum dining cetificates online. If you were to purchase one of the more expensive entrees, say one of the platters at the Festhaus for example, you'd notice a significant savings. Portions are very large and can be shared.

Classic Car Club of America National CARavan

                                Classic Cars

                                On ... May 14, 2012 - Monday Afternoon
                                Historic Jamestown and Jamestown Settlement

In coming days, there's a chance you'll spot some antique hardware rolling down the streets of the Peninsula. A rally called the Classic Car Club of America National CARavan will come to Hampton Roads Sunday, May 13, through May 20. The club encourages preservation of fine cars built between 1925 and 1958. Owners of antiques from Cadillac, Packard, Bentley, Lincoln and Stutz will bring their treasures to the area for a series of events.

Williamsburg is center stage for the gathering. On Thursday, May 17,
some of the autos will be on display on Duke of Gloucester St 10-4 pm
