  • Southwest Airlines bidding on LGA slots!

    I heard this on the radio this week. Southwest is eyeballing ATA's slots at LGA. Forgive me if this has already been posted here, as I have been buried at work with no time to visit y'all.

    I have never flown Southwest but I am sure this will be a winner if it comes to fruition.

    Yeah, they are bidding for the company just so that they can get those landing slots. That's a pretty ballsy move I think. The congestion at LGA can wreak havoc on the schedule. But good for them if it works out. I hope WN can finally take down US Air. They are making good progress in Philly. Once the work at terminals D and E is finished, WN can expand their service.

        ATA I believe was an airline that either went bankrupt or pulled out of LGA.
        LGA=LaGuardia Airport

        WN is the Airline code Parlance for Southwest.
