  • Free Powhatan Plantation in Williamsburg Timeshare

This is a three bedroom unit, with loft, so some would say it's 4, but there is no bathroom in the loft. It banks as a two bedroom and a one bedroom or as a three bedroom. The resort is affialiated with both RCI and II, and receives priority in trading for Sunterra resorts. This unit has been remodeled as part of the complete resort remodel. The week is a fall week, good for leaf turning. All maintenance fees are current.

Sorry, no one says it's a 4BR. The loft is the third bedroom.

This is really called a 2BR lockoff A/B
The A unit is downstairs 800sqft, queen in MBR, sofabed in LR, hot tub.
The B unit is upstairs 800sqft, queen in MBR, two-twins in loft. (There used to be a sofabed in the SMALL living area, but that went away in last major remodel)

The resort IS NOT affiliated with II. You CANNOT trade with II, only with RCI or an independent. The II affiliation which everyone is confused about is between THE Club and II - so, if you pay $2995+ to join THE Club, then you get II and no RCI, clear as mud, right?

There is a 3BR with same floor plan and no lockoff feature, it was the first style at the resort, then they made the A/B lockoffs THEN they went to the 4BR C/D lockoffs.

Thanks for the clarification--on so many points--Spence. I've never been there, and I just didn't know. At any rate, the maintence fees are paid, and it does deposit as two units. I've deposited only with RCI, but I thought II was an option, too. I didn't know the distinction between the Club and just the resort. Again, Thanks.

      It's still free.

For those who may be considering this deal, can you tell us what week you have? And can that week be traded for another week in the year? (sorry, I'm not interested myself, but others may be)

It's a generous offer. I hope someone can use it. Thanks for posting.

Powhatan weeks are either fixed weeks or points. Fixed weeks are not floating. Whichever week it is, it is fixed to those specific dates. In addition, it has a fixed starting day which also cannot be changed (ie; Fri, Sat, Sun).

Thanks for the information. It could make a big difference to someone who wants to go at another time of the year.

Any week, any color, in RCI at Powhatan easily trades back in to any other season even bigger units, from my experience.

While I am not interested myself, for those who may be, what is the m/f?

That's great if you want to go elsewhere. But if you are purchasing with the sole intention to stay at Powhatan, it sounds like you'd have to deposit the week in RCI, pay for an exchange and then pick another week to go. So, say if you want to go to Powhatan in the summer, you end up paying extra. Is that right?
