Yes, we own there! We like the little houses. I think we'll be staying there in 2007 for the Jamestown 2007 celebration. We have three kids, so the three BR configuration was really appealing to us...we like that the teenager can have her own little apartment. And Williamsburg is great!

We toured this resort on an invitation and really liked it, but the cost was more than we were willing to pay. When we were there a lot of construction was taking place, but I would hope that it would be finished by now.

Please tell me about my friend's ownership there at KCP. I think they got screwed when they upgraded. They now give up their Kings creek week (I think in the new developement part as theirs wasn't even completely built yet when they bought in early 2007) and in turn "get" 8 weeks with II.....but they have to pay for every week with II............$399 if booked 90 days out and $199 if booked 30 days out.

They have to pay maintenance fees on their KCP unit of course but they have been promised that they will receive a check every year at least $1500 for having put their unit into the rental pool and the $1500 is after maintenance fees.

I think they have been really screwed with this new ownership. Worse yet, it cost them an additional $12K and with stinkin thinkin.........they gave up their original ownership PLUS gave them $12K........AND now have to pay every time they want to use a week and aviailability will not be very good even at 90 days out for the places most desired and nearly nill at 30 days out but they dont' see it..plus they already bought.

The stinkin thinkin is this: he said, he wasn't making $1500 on the $12K now so he would give them the $12K so he could make the $1500.....stinking thinking part of that is that he no longers has the $12K! DUH!

Am I thnking all wrong about this? Does anyone else have a similar ownership and is it working for them?

By the way, they have not yet gotten a check this year, either, but the wife remembered that they wouldn't get their first check until 2009. What a rip off.
