  • Dick Clark's American Bandstand Theater

We went to the show last night, taking our Great Aunt and Uncle (76 and 80), MIL, and her signifcant other (70's).

    Fun time.

The show was the Original Stars of American Bandstand, some of the group that used to tour. Fabian, Bobby Vee, Bryan Hyland, Chris Montez, and the Chiffons. (Actually, the Chiffon (singular), since it was the original leader singer now performing with her daughter and niece.)

Bryan Hyland and Chris Montez were excellent. You did not have to close your eyes (ears) and pretend it was still way back then.

It is obviously Bobby Vee's show, with two of his sons playing in the band. One plays bass and was the most entertaining entertainer in the whole show.

If it was not Bobby Vee's show, I doubt that he would be singing any more.

In any event, they had em twisting in the aisles.
