One more week and we will be up there. I heard about the construction by the bridge..oh well. Jim is planning to bring his golf clubs to do a round at Holiday Hills. Not sure what shows we will go to yet just going to wait until we get there and see.

I have been cleared to play at Holiday Hills should I get a chance to work it in.

I am not kidding when I say we have been very busy.

I saw that teahouse, why are they mean over there? They won't tow me away will they? I've been parking around Walgreens on Main and also in front of the Train. We did the train yesterday. It was kinda boring though compared of others I've been on (Alaksa & Cape Cod).

Maybe it would have been better if I was in the observation car but it was full by the time we got on. I don't recommend the train. All you see is trees and limestone rock and a dark tunnel. The train depot was the highlight.

Your resort is great. If I needed another TS, which I don't, I'd consider Silverleaf if they are all like this one. I'm definetely going to put it on my radar for exchanges in the future though.

Yes there is wi-fi at the Activity center, the lobby, and I am doing laundry, so there is also wi-fi in here too. I'm just a bit spoiled since I usually stay in smaller resorts that have wired for wi-fi but I understand why they haven't done it here. It would be quite an undertaking.

Chateau is at the intersection of 165 and 265, by the Table Rock Dam.

                  The humidity is already here.

I guess you're at Holiday Hills (there are 2 Silverleaf resorts here). That's kinda a bummer because the work on the Taneycomo bridge slows down traffic that way.
Yes, I'm at Holiday Hills. Huge golf course. Too bad I don't play. It's too hot anyway to be out there in this heat and it was big time lightning the other day so I wouldn't want to be a human lightning rod.

Saw the Chateau today on the Duck tour. I think we'll take a trip up there for lunch maybe on Sunday. Do they do a Sunday brunch? I also saw that that stretch of 165 shows going North both ways. I guess it's to confuse us tourists.

I'm moving to Mountain Vista tomorrow so hopefully we'll have beat the crowds coming this way. I don't know why I booked this vacation on Memorial Day. I did the same thing last year by accident. No wonder I had trouble getting a 2 bedroom. Now we are moving to 2 studios. We lose the kitchen. Not that we are doing much cooking anyway, tonight we plan to make a pizza and drink some of the local wine from Wal-Mart.

Had a nice day doing the Duck tour and eating at a diner where the waitresses sing for you. So far we've seen Dixie Stampede and The Spirit of the Dance (Irish dancers). We plan on doing Branson Belle and Noah and Shoji. Also want to hit the crafter shops. I like to do beading jewelry and I plan to sell my stuff in my online store so need to get ideas. I also want to see the Chateau and Big Cedar to see what all the fuss is about.
I think that's about all we can do this trip.

                  Thanks everyone for the suggestions.

                      You will like Mountain Vista.

As for which way 165 goes, starting at Hollister and going to Mountain Vista, is goes most every direction.

Good thing I brought my GPS, I think? It had me doing some weird things today instead of going straight so I'm not totally confident in these thingies as they've steered me wrong before. Especially in the mountains. For some reason all the GPS's I've owned hate mountain driving. Always want to send me off some cliff. Maybe they just hate me.
Hoping it can at least get me to Mountain Vista safely. If not, I'll call you.

                          It's on 165.

You're right JLB, Mountain Vista is very nice. And free wi-fi in the room. Well at least free for me since I have AT&T internet at home so free for me.

Didn't find Mountain Vista per se since someone stole the street sign that said champagne road, I guess someone thought it would look good on their bar at home but since I found the big Wyndham Branson Meadows they pointed me in the right direction. Had to check in there anyway.

I'm so happy the studios have a full kitchen. I'm surprised how much they get into these studios. Very nice design and everything seems pretty new.

They already called my Mom for the "update" and she fell for it in 5 seconds. I'm so disappointed in her. She hasn't learned anything. Now I've gotta get us up and out before the salespeople show up for the kill. No matter how many times I forbid her to take any freebies she keeps defying me.
She just can't resist anything free.

Sounds like you are having a wonderful time. If you make it downtown and if you like good home cooking, thy The Shack. Who knows, it may not be there anymore. I hope the ventriliquist is still at the Branson Belle. He was great. shaggy

                                Shaggy,
We did go downtown several times and don't remember the Shack. We did eat at the Farmhouse restaurant for breakfast on our first day and we ate at the Irish Pub Waxy OShea's for dinner another day. So many restaurants here so little time to try them all. It's quite a chore deciding where to eat.

They feed you sooooooooooooo much food everywhere you go.
Today we went to Peppercorn buffet for dinner. My nephew is working there on a work exchange program and we went to give him moral support. He lives in the Caribbean in the DR so this is definetely a culture shock for him.
