I'm afraid to have them show me anything. They just sent a guy up to give us a coupon book. Alot of good that does now. I've already booked our last 3 shows so I'll have to save it for later. Maybe I can come back at Christmas time.

The "survey" guy sure looked like a salesman to me. Hmmmm.

And he was so shocked that I wasn't aware that I can get MF refund checks because the economy has been so bad that Wyndham is now paying owners back some of their MF's. Also said, that I could get rid of those pesky MF's on the years I don't use my EOY.

He also was shocked that I didn't know there were 3 levels of membership that I could have chosen even if I bought resale. And he was really shocked when I said no one had notified me to tell me about the owners convention in Miami they had that would have explained all these nice details to me.

Imagine that. I shocked the salesman (I mean "survey" guy). Who by the way was awfully good looking. What a shame.

So it ain't over yet. He wants to see what I qualify for. And it was just too funny that he called his "boss" to see if I qualified for any of these great features but that he'd have to get back to me with the details. These guys are pretty good actors. This must be their day job and at night they perform in the shows.

                Sandi,
Can you believe I had never heard of Branson til about 3 years ago?
In Florida most people just haven't heard of Branson. When I told many of my friends at work where I was going on vacation, I'd say 90% of them had no clue where Branson was, let alone that there was anything to see in
Missouri. I got all kinds of surprised looks on this Branson thing.

Wait til they see the pictures.

                  Well Anita,
Made it up to Big Cedar for late lunch but unfortunately the only restaurant open was Truman's cafe. We ate there anyway but it wasn't so hot. I guess 3pm is too late for lunch for the mountain folk.

                  What a gorgeous place.

My GPS again got lost and had me go all the way down to the lakefront and then I had to just keep driving til it got it's bearings but once you spot the place on the mountainside you just can't miss it.

It's a destination in itself. I don't think it would have been a good place for a first visit since it's so far from everything but what a spectacular place to spend the fall season. I might have to come back if I can get it. It's really so picture perfect. Almost like a Disney resort. The carriage rides looked like fun.

No wonder everyone raves of the place.
Now this might be a reason to own some BG points.

We get a lot of golfers from Florida.

We have traded into Big Cedar twice during Thanksgiving Week thru RCI so it is doable. You should see it all lit up for Christmas. And most of the Shows go .....Christmas!! One reason we picked Big Cedar over Holiday Hills in November there is an indoor pool which HH does not have.

Well of course you'd get all the golfers but I don't have too many golfer friends except for you.

Well this is good to know. I think Christmas would be an awesome time to come back and see the Christmas shows. Shoji did a Christmas number tonight at the end of the show to try to entice us to come back. I might bite if I can get something nice. How is driving up to Big Cedar in the winter? Does it get icy up there? I'd be nervous driving up there in the ice.

We go to Branson in November or the first two weeks of December every year. We prefer December as it feels more like Christmas after Thanksgiving. While weather can always be iffy that time of year, we've never had bad driving conditions. That doesn't mean it won't happen. Last year it was rainy, cold and miserable the weekend we were there (second weekend in December) but we still had a great time.

I have some pictures of one of our Christmas trips on page two of our Webshots page. You can see it by clicking the link in my signature below.

Weather has never been a problem with us during Thanksgiving Week and we have been more than twice. Once we just needed a light jacket another time something heavier but the change in weather was nice after a long hot summer in Houston.
