I have discussed it before, how strange it is that there are two Nantuckett-themed developments in the middle of hillbilly country, and they are both on the same road, the same point of land on Table Rock Lake.

Stormy Point Village is the other one.

Nantuckett has bought the large, fairly new, convenience store/gas station/restaurant/office building at the corner of Stormy Point Road and 265.

Stormy Point Village's Welcome Center is a long way away, on North Gretna Road, and their peeps are bused to tour Stormy Point Village (a tactic which provides them captive peeps, ala Holiday Inn/Orange Lake).

As I've asked before, how many Ozark American (Hillbilly) resorts are there on Nantucket?

Trust me. They barely allow our hillbilly family on the island.

In that case, we should not support Nantucket here.

When will this Nantucket resort be open? Any idea who is developing/marketing this resort? We were at SPV in early July and there was only a dirt road leading into Nantucket ... maybe they want a hillbilly/Cape Cod hybrid?

You wiil find a Cape Cod/hillbilly hybrid when you read their homepage, although hillbillies do have spellcheck.

Atrocious spelling and grammar, totally out of character with the image they are trying to project.

              Branson?s Nantucket

Pretty much spewing out the same gobblygook we first heard more than 20 years ago. Do folks still fall for that crap?

It is still just another resort in an area that already has too many.

...."allows you to continue your legacy for your family, for the future, while enjoying the fact that your Nantucket Lakefront resort, will gain in equity over the years to come."

                Uh-oh.....

The rest of their site is just PAINFUL to read, it sounds and reads like a Nigerian email....

They let us out of the home unsupervised today, so after Wal*Mart, the Chinese buffet, and two outlet malls, we heading to Stormy Point. We got to Stormy Point Village, which has a new gated entry since we were there last, and then took a look at their lakefront boatdock facility. Nice and covenient.

We went down Stormy Point Road a bit further a looked at a nice Lindal Cedar Home development.

On the way back to Stormy Point Village, we saw a sign on a nasty gravel lane leading up a stripped hillside to a big, long butt-ugly condo-looking building. The sign said that was Branson Nantuckett. We asked the guard at Stormy Point Village and, yes, it is, immediately past and hanging over the cluster of little Cape Cod Houses that is Stormy Point Village.

Branson Nantucket and it's setting is as unattractive as it's website is illiterate, or, at least, not proofread.

In an explanation like this, this is the point where the picture would be posted.

                      Liked it, Recommend it!

We stayed there and had the best time ever. They have the best views by far.
Great location and close to all the shows and attractions.

Really? You stayed at the big white thingy on the barren hill, out yonder behind Stormy Point Village?
