Thanks. I hope I end up speaking to the same twin you did.

We are in several days of stormy weather . . . probably 10 inches of rain before it's done.

We've got folks coming from IL to use our TS condo at SBV this week.

I emptied 1 1/2 inch out of the gauge yesterday morning, 1 1/2 this morning, 2 just now, and it's still coming down.

Same series of storms that had the tornado at the St. Louis airport.

Table Rock has come up 1/2 foot in 6 hours. I moved the docks three times today. Fishing tournament going on.

It did this in May, 2008, when Table Rock Lake reached a record level, 932 or so. It's at 918 now. It's come up 2 feet in 15 hours, even with the gates open and generating. That's a lot of water over 42000 acres.

I've moved the docks, and cables four times today. They are almost up to the trees, and almost to where I need to move the cables further up the bank.

Still a line of thunderstorms all the way past OKC, tracking this way.

8 1/2 inches of rain now, moved docks ande cables 6 times today, and the lake rise has been slowed to a foot every 8 hours.

Still heavy rains coming, but sliding a bit south.

Wow! And we had to wake to a sunny and mild Easter Sunday up here. Sorry to hear about the tornadoes and storms hitting down there again. Get the ark ready for boarding.

This thread has got to be the winner for the "best thread drift" award.
                      • It started with who is and is not welcome in Branson.
                      • Then moved to the "best KC BBQ" thread.
                      • Then onto the Branson hourly weather report.

Throw in a few personal jabs here and there, and that about sums it up.
(But of course, it wouldn't be complete without a dancing turtle: )

Don't you just love these forums?!?

Branson was pretty much a wasteland before they put in the dam. It's probably been flooding there since Noah's day. How apropo that they have a Noah's Ark show in one of their theaters which by the way is really awesome.

There was a report on the TV station this morning about how they are having to move one of our piles of snow from the Saints baseball stadium to the state fair grounds. They need the stadium next week and the snow won't be melted by then.

Still snow in our work parking lot where it had been piled up by the equipment.
                            Longest winter I can remember.

Wow! heavy rains all night and I emptied another 5 inches this morning. That's 13 1/2 inches in four days. The lake's coming up a foot every four hours now.

I know the docks are way out there without looking.

There will be a major release from the dam later today, so Taneycomo flooding will occur. Lots of roads closed. DW is gone and has to try to navigate today.

Heavy rains still ahead the next few days.

The lake's come up 7 feet in the last 35 hours. No major release yet.

I've got the docks up as far as they will go . . . to the trees.

                                Still raining.
