We are a couple in our early 60s, not traveling with kids. After looking at RCIs last Endless Vacation issue we decided to try Branson in the Fall. I have a unit booked at Lake Ozarks in mid Oct. - Avila Condos at Four Season. Also would like to book something in Branson the week before. I have French Quarter on hold. TPUs are really cheap for both. Is this a good time for the area? We love fall and color season.

Fall is the best season in the Ozarks, and in my opinion, mid to late October is best. The temperatures are mild with cool nights, the humidity is gone, and the trees are beautiful. The colors are more muted than New England, but the Ozarks are beautiful. There's always the chance for rain, but not as much as in the spring, or November. And with the summer tourists gone it's easy to get around.Jeanne

We have always had activities that makes it easy for us to bookmark dates . . . & we have the Branson Fall Color discussion every year, here and elsewhere.
