    This is cool.

At the point where the tornado first touched down is where my golfing-friend's house/man-cave is. His place is the one just to the left of the path as it goes up the first hill. There's a driveway separating his house from his man-cave and there's an infinity pool in front of the house, toward the lake.

When the tornado crosses over the first part of Table Rock Lake, that is The Kimberling Inn that it slammed into just on the other side of that water. You can see the four large docks that were there, but are now gone.

At the beginning when it is zooming in on the point of first touchdown, the zooming flies exactly over our house and dock, so it was that close.

I also see it went over Indian Point Resort and Branson Yacht Club on Indian Point, and very close to Stormy Point Village and Nantucket on the next peninsula. After it crossed over The Branson Landing and Lake Taneycomo, out east it slammed into the timeshare portion of Cross Creek, and at that point all of Holiday Hills is immediately across the road to the south.

Look at all the big rocks that pelted down into the Wal Mart parking lot, and think about that happening during the day.

Table Rock is more than 50 miles long, with 800 miles of shoreline. I take care of 1 mile of it.

Today is the first activity on the Kimberling Inn Motel buildings . . . people on it appearing to be assessing it. The main building/restaurants, etc., are up and running, and there is a sign that says Lakefront Units Open . . . soon. Ahoy's has not been rebuilt, or not finished, and is for sale, which I noticed when I was jetskiing last week.

                Tornado update.

The two motesl at Kimberling Inn were demolished and not rebuilt. The lakefront units took quite awhile to re-open. In Branson itself, two motels did not do any cleanup and appear to be abandoned, which adds to other buildings which appear to be abandoned because they are.

Branson as most people know it is struggling. It is not peak season, but major shows are having 200 or less, sometimes less than 100.

Advertising and articles, such as in Endless Vacation this issue, does not even mentioned shows.

Golf is booming; Big Cedar Lodge Legends of Golf (a Champions' Tour event) is going on right now. Johnny Morris has big names from fishing and NASCAR here, too. Only he could do something like that here.
