Branson Availability

I'm surprised that so little is available in Branson:

There is also relatively little available for July . . . 30 units.

Mabe it's because we are having a little military reunion and holding it at Wyndham Mountain Vista with everyone staying there.

Not really , we only have 7 untis in Branson for it.

we go there tomorrow for 3 weeks to get prepared and then to recover!

If you're looking in RCI inventory, that's one of the reasons we left RCI. No availability for Branson except for one resort when I.I. was showing several choices. My assumption is either RCI has to few resorts in Branson or the rental market for Branson must be better than the exchange market.

But then again, we don't look last minute. We tend to book 10 to 12 months in advance. Branson can be a more difficult exchange in the summer. While we find great availability for the Spring/Fall seasons, Summer can be more restrictive for availability.

In mid May RCI had a sale dropping tpu's down to 5 for some locations including Branson, Williamsburg, Massanutten, Las Vegas, and Orlando. It included the summer months. It only dropped for resorts priced 20 and lower which were most in these locations. It included 2 bed units as well. In February they had a similar sale but it only included the 1 bedroom units I believe.

I live on the East Coast so I was looking at Williamsburg and Massanutten. I saw nearly a hundred Massanutten weeks get taken and dozens of Williamsburg. Neither location has very many weeks left. I bet the same thing happened to summer Branson weeks in RCI.

I posted about the discount sell-off, which is sorta why I'm posting about the lack of availability now. I don't beleive the the discounts did not extended into July.

When we started TSing, II did not have anything in Branson. I don't mean not very much . . . I mean they did not have any resorts.

The first one was the one just past Steal Yur Dollar City to the west, the road that went through their parking lot. The name will come to me when I don't need it, but Royal Aloha has added it's presence at the same place.

RCI wants to move inventory and the sell offs certainly seemed to thin out the inventory. Now that prime season is coming and the TS salespeople are "updating" guests they can point to the lack of summer inventory as an incentive to buy.
