                It occurs to me that this is an excellent example of what some veterans have been saying and what I have been trying to tell a couple of AGs, that the real ills of the industry are not the scammy resale operations, but it is the industry itself, which allows for the existence of scammy resale companies by not providing an exit strategy for when folks are done with their timeshares. (not caring about owners past money that can be made from them)

                In the example in this thread, there is no scammy resale company involved. It is a part of the legitimate industry victimizing those who are already a victim of the legitimate industry. It is another Resort/Club/Mini sticking an existing owner with another unwanted timeshare with the false promising of getting rid of the existing unwanted timeshare.

                This sorta stuff is far worse than the general public's notion of what is wrong with timesharing.

                Pretty sick.

                  "After our many failed attempts to use this package, and getting the feeling we had been scammed, we decided to sell the property. We were told during our sales presentation that Summer Winds would sell the property for us if we ever wanted to sell it and it wouldn't cost us anything. However when we called to begin the selling process we found out this was not true. The excuse they gave us was that they are not set up for reselling yet."

                  We have looked over this matter again and we find no fraud at all, just they are not understand the program is and how to use it. They have a week this year that can be booked at any time and yet they want to book bonus time that is subject to availability within 30 days.
                  It is obvious that the financial burden is too much for them at this time, we will release them form the contract and have a full refund to them within 90 days for m the date of this letter.

                    during the next 4 hours i was convinced that there was someone waiting to purchase the 2 ******* time shares i presently own so i could then and pay off the property at ************. this was great, i could get away from ******* and payless annually in the long run for my vacation. i remember saying this was just too good to be true! well unfortunately 4 days after i arrived home i received a phone call from a man from "*******************************", he told me, that IF he could sell my 2 ****** timeshares it would take at probably take 6 months or a year or more. i was definitely stunned! this could not be happening. what happened to the person just waiting to buy these properies i was told about by the sales rep at ************? apparently there are no buyers waiting out there. i had been deceived. so there would be no check forth coming so i could pay off going the new time share at ************,was i going to have to make the payments til my 2 ******* timeshares sold ?(or IF they sold). I called the sales rep at ************ to confront him for mispresenting this whole agreement and lying to me.left a voice mail, he did not answer.
