French Lick Springs Villas is Screwing there owners!

I called to pay my MF back in DEC. They do not have a record of me calling. They never sent me a bill saying I did not pay it until today. On the bill is a $30 late fee plus another $30 in interest. How can they charge $30 in interest if they never notify you that you were late in paying which I was not late they just never put my payment through. Is this legal can they charge interest without notifying you?

Frank if you have the cc statement with the charge on it or the cancelled check I'm sure they will reverse the charges.

I have one resort that "fines" me $50 if I pay by credit card! So each year I have to call and guesstimate the MFs and mail it to them as they have no on-line payment system. Hmmm it is time to pay that one.

One of the others tried to bill be $180 because they had no record of me paying. They reversed the fees.

My husband said that you would have to see what your contract states. However, he doesn't believe that they can charge you both the late fee and the interest....that would be usurious

What did you find out about the late fees/interest? I am a new owner of French Lick Spring Villas, so it is nice to know about this. I'll have to be sure to pay by the end of the year.

I paid over sixty dollars in late fees. It wasn't worth the fight .I made my point heard and I hope that I helped change the future. I was told that they just finished setting up a new computer system which imo had much to do with this.

from the name of the resort sounds like ya at least get kissed before the screwing.
