I have been searching Branson this year, mostly for May through August, and there's not much "excess." There's definitely been no $199s. Most that are available are studios and hotel units.
I did just find a 1-bedroom at HH for a July week for $368.99.
Branson's busy, and has been trending up each year since it bottomed out in the recession, 2012. Now the City mucky-mucks like to use that in promotions.
