  • RCI availability in Branson

For those who are not up-to-date on Bass Pro/Johnny Morris stuff, Mr. Morris has bought up a whole bunch of stuff around Big Cedar . . . the Long Creek Marina and Campground, Paradise Point Condos/TS, Branson Creek & Murder Rock Golf Courses, and re-opened Top of The Rock golf course after 7 years of remodeling.

He hosts a Seniors and Champions Tour Tournament, now in it's third year.

A sinkhole opened at Top of the Rock last year, and it has become an attraction, as the caves beneath it are being explored.

Mr. Morris has built a private road through the Ozark hills and woods from Bass Pro to Top of the Rock, where there is also a wilderness tour.

If you play golf, get ahold of me if you come to Branson.

I check Branson almost every day, and there's plenty of stuff available every month. Many 2-bedroom EVs have been $249.

But not Big Cedar. This year nothing is available until September. What is available is very reasonable, nothing more than 7 faux points right now.

    Exchange Trading Power Range 4 - 7
    Price USD 377.99 - USD 422.99

For those who don't know, Mr. Morris bought Paradise Point awhile back, it is just around the bend from Big Cedar Cove. It's newish and very nice. They also own The Cliffs at Long Creek, also very nice, and something I have never seen available. At the end of Long Creek Road, Mr. Morris has also purchase Long Creek Marina and Campground.

If the link works, all of that, and his golf courses, and the airport, should be in this shot:

I should warn you that people come to Branson, sit in the VIP row of one of their favorite performers (for free), wreck their car, then never come back.

We just got back from visiting family in that area. My sister took us to Top of the Rock we went through the cave, visited the museum and had lunch there.

          &?????

Were you impressed? Was it what you expected, more than, less than?

Did you take the road Mr. Morris built through the woods to connect Big Cedar to TOTR?

I just checked Branson 2-bedrooms for 6/23-7/16, and there was ample stuff available for every check-in date in that window. Even the 4th of July week check-in dates. No $249 rentals, though. They ran from $450 to $650. That's still less than most maintenance fees.

When I've looked, the Cliffs at Long Creek is generally available through Bluegreen, although I've never checked for holidays or anything. Taking a quick look, the height of summer's gone, but still plenty available in August and beyond. We stayed there a while back and really enjoyed it, and I'm waffling about going again next year. Thinking we'll probably do Florida again, though; I want to try out the BG Miami resort. Too many places I want to go in light of hubby's vacation time!

We rented points for the Cliffs from a Bluegreen owner, so if someone really wants to go, that's an option.

I've not been to an awful lot of BG resorts but Solara is my hands down fave. especially if you can get the oceanfront/8 although I'm happy anywhere in the building.

I don't have a need to search as much as I once did, but I do search the Branson Area fairly frequently. I find it curious that Cliffs at Long Creek is not affiliated with RCI, if that is the case. I'm seeing 13 units available at Big Cedar and 10 at Paradise Point right now.

There are also a couple of other Table Rock Lake/Branson Area developments using the Cliffs name, so it can be confusing to some. The old Kimberling Inn is under the management/control of a Kimberling City mover-and-shaker-developer-type couple now, and they renamed it The CLIFFS at Kimberling (#0335).

It's Purdy hear in tha Aux Arcs.

I had no expectations as I'd never heard of it. I thought the cave portion was underwhelming, although the ride in the golf cart to get there and back was fun. The museum was impressive though.

I don't think we took the road you're talking about. We came off the highway up to Top of the Rock.

                            Sorry, no.

But as I said I had no idea what it was. What exactly was supposed to impress me?

I'm getting the impression you did not make it to Top of The Rock, the golf course. It is on past the cave place.

In two weeks the Seniors Tour Legends of Golf will be played. Funny, TV commercial for it is on right now.
