  • Branson Very Busy Today

It probably depended on where you were, but Branson was busy everywhere we went today.

We met a couple from another forum at Banson Landing for lunch. When we went by Silver Dollar City, the line of traffic going in there was bumper-to-bumper all the way to the strip. When we got done with lunch, there were cars lined up waiting for parking spaces at the Landing.

It was bumper-to-bumper leaving there and downtown was really busy.

When we got home the lake was as busy as any day all summer.

Gee, I wish I could have spent the day in Branson. It was dreary, cold, wet & windy in New York today.

Most places I went to were empty for a Saturday, and the people that were around weren't in the best mood.

It felt like summer had come crashing to an end, and fall was suddenly thrown upon us.................Oh well, it's suppose to be much nicer tomorrow. I hope so, I have a BBQ to go to.................

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Awe, Branson, one of my favorite places to go. Now if they could just get the traffic problem solved.

It was cloudy and around 70 in SE Missouri, yesterday. With most of the schools opening before Labor Day, it has really made folks want that end of summer holiday before fall starts. Branson and Lake of the Ozarks is a nice 3 day vacation for the midwest. Plus, with gas prices down, made driving more enjoyable.

If you mean me, we live here, so that we don't have to stay at the Kimberling Inn any more.

As far as timeshare guests we have entertained (and they us) this week, they have been at Stonebridge and Holiday Hills.

Bboy just called and he and his family are at Fairfield. I guess it is their first trip to Branson, to inspect what they bought on eBay (Grand Regency at Thousand Hills), and he said the same thing about the traffic.

Over our way they are just beginning road improvement in the Branson West area, but with the developments in the works I don't believe the infrastructure will ever catch up, much like I just said about SW Florida Over Yonder.

Why do ask? Do you want to know something about Branson timeshares? Do you want to bring your steamboat, Bill, to Table Rock Lake?

I am considering a Marriott Platinum 2BRD LO....

I would use it for one or two visits and then trade to other Marriotts during the Summer.

Do you know any good deals?
              Any advice about that purchase?

That sounds like a Marriott question to me, not a Branson question.

I suggest you ask on a Marriott board here or another timeshare forum, or try the Marriott forum website. We had a discussion about it here not long ago, and I believe they recenty changed their name.

Someone will know what I'm talking about and provide the details.

If you are specifically asking about Marriott Horizons in Branson, it is a decent place, with a recent thread about it on another forum. I have been to it myself, including inside the units, and it is not a lesser resort by any means. Marriott owners have posted that the amenities are nicer than some full-fledged Marriotts.

I have always called Horizons Timeshare-Lite, but you can't tell by this one.

It is slow in being built, with only two of nine projected buildings completed. It's been that way for awhile, but is relatively new by Branson standards.
