Dells are north of Madison, but not sure how far north.

We went to the Dells this summer. We flew into O'Hare in Chicago and then drove up to the Dells. You practically go through Madison to get there. I think it was about 90 minutes from O'Hare to Madison and then at least another hour to the Dells.

Hi - I'm from WI. It is between 35-45 minutes - mostly freeway - from Madison to the Dells. The time goes pretty quick - you cross the WI river which is scenic.

Fairfield/Wyndham has one in Wisconsin Dells. I'm staying there in 7/08.

a very good friend of mine teaches at the university and I was thinking it might be nice to get out that way to see her.

you don't see The Dells on last call or extra vacation during summer though.

The Dells can be very crowed (lots of water parks) in the summer time but it is a very nice area to visit. The Dells is just a hop skip and jump from Madison and their is plenty to do in Madison. Bluegreen has Christmas Mountain Village resort in the Dells. This time of the year it shouldn't be to difficult to get something booked. Maybe someone would be willing to do a direct exchange. I know Boca has talked about doing some direct exchanges. I would if I had any points left. I don't think I would count on any last minute availability.

when do you plan to make the trip?
wisconsin is a beautiful state, you would enjoy it more in late spring, summer, or early fall. That is when I am there so that is an extra bonus. Madison is 45 miles from the Dells on the expressway and is a nice city to visit. Timeshares are Christmas Mountain, Fairfield (which is building a new timeshare at the Wilderness) and lots of fantastic destination hotels.
