  • Free Silver Dollar City BAFs

Here we are again, same as always.

This year we have 7 free SDC passes, good until 12/30, but we won't know how many we'll have left until our slow-to-commit group decides who alls going next Saturday (12/16). They never make planning very easy.

On top of that we are heading for FL 12/20, so there is a very narrow window to get passes to anyone else.

    But that's where we're at.

Speak up if you'll be here and want a free day at SDC.

A flyer arrived today announcing that friends get in for just $15 with a season pass holder until 12/30.

Unfortunately we will not be here to get folks in.

      Wow, What a Crowd!

We had a group to take to SDC yesterday and we heard the park was full and they were parking in fields along 76 HWY west of Indian Point Road.

So I called SDC about 4:00. They had been expecting 15000 for the day, total, and that's how many were in the park at that time. There were 2000 waiting in the satellite parking lots for school buses to come pick them up. They were expecting another 6000 to go through the turnstiles before the end of the day.

So, there's no telling how many they had.

We went to the Pizza Hut first, and then to the park about 6-ish. Sure enough, there were hundreds of cars along 76 HWY west of SDC. We just kept driving and parked in the first regular lot. It appeared that there were as many coming as going at that time. But, we got to enjoy the park, even ride the train (they had two running and even took the time to do the Christmas story). We left close to 11 PM.

Today we are meeting two more groups in a couple hours.
