    French Lick Springs Villas

The last time we were there was in 2004. The 2 BR units are some of the largest, best equipped timeshare units we have ever seen. They are two story units with a kitchen as large or larger than those in most homes. The bathroom on the first floor has a huge whirlpool and also a shower and sauna. The great room is two stories high with a fireplace. The second floor has two bedrooms, and a loft. There's a balcony or patio on each floor.

The bus tours of the region were hosted by a guy who really knows the area, knows the people in the area, knows the trivia in the area, and knows the history of the area. As long as the same guy is giving the tours, I would recommend them highly. We took the historical tour and the one of the Amish region. If we had more time, the tour of the stone factory sounded very interesting too.

Last year the resort hotel was closed for renovations. The Villas were under separate ownership but had contracted for use of the hotel's pool, tennis courts, and other amenities. I think the outdoor tennis courts were destroyed as part of the renovations

I hope that the casino turns out to be a boon for the people of Orange County, but I also hope that it does not completely ruin the peaceful, rural ambience of French Lick.

Send me an email or PM if you have any specific question about the area.
