    Nature Hike at Christmas Mountain

He doesn't get paid, so he stops doing it when the weather changes.
He goes up the mountain, he has had as many as 28 people join him.
He points out nature things (that is a scientific term).

He does that twice a week and then one night a week he does a slide
show on the natural beauty of the Dells and surrounding area.

It says the tours last an hour,
but it is usually longer as he gets a lot of questions .

People really want to know what else to see and do in the area that shows
    the natural beauty.
We stay here from around Mother's Day til mid to late October.
When we go to Florida, he is the volunteer naturalist at the state park near our home.

Did your husband make a Photo CD or DVD of the Wisconsin Dells area

He has put his photos on a CD. However, we don't have any way of labeling them. We fooled around with Power Point but got nowhere. but yes he has a lot of photos of the area and also of the wildflowers in bloom at CMV. We have really slow internet sevice so we aren't successful at sending them via email.

Is this a children's themed park? I remember taking my daughter there about twenty years and you saw nursery rhyme characters. It seems like something else is in that spot though. I can't find it in the phone book. A lot of smaller attractions have sold out to biggr concerns. It is possibly now a mini golf.

Oh sure, there is a Menards 3 miles from me, and Fleet Farm 2-1/4 miles, but it gives me something to do down there.

We will be arriving down there about 2-3pm today (CMV-not Menards)

I found out there is an Oktoberfest this weekend, so we will wonder around a bit.

Now i remember which one it is : there was both the enchanted forest and storybook gardens.
You walked through this wooded park and there were litte nursery rhyme buildings, kids could run through the old woman who lived in a shoe, or climb over it, etc. Quite a long time ago the nursery rhyme figures were taken out and Timber Falls mini golf took its place. In addition, the native Americans had a stand in front of the Enchanted Forest and sold hand made items, that is gone too,.
It is across the river from the riverwalk, it is still wooded and pretty.

We are at CMV as I write this. Oh the smell of the pine trees is wonderful. Trip from Minneapolis to the Dells was nice, only 4 dead deer and 9 cop cars, not counting the whole group of cop cars/officers that were working the two accidents in the west bound lane.

We are getting our reservations for the Friday Fish Fry. It is a Wisconsin thing, and the DW was a Wisconsin girl.

Villas are nice, too small of a kitchen, but my bedroom makes up for it.

                      waiting to hear from you.

we tried the fish fry at High Rock Cafe in town last night, it was really good.

Will you be wearing the outfit in the avatar this weekend?

No, that outfit is still waiting to go to the cleaners after trudging through the mud a month ago.

Spent our morning (and my money) at Tanger outlet mall after the the wife bought out the scrapbook store inventory. Having a sandwich now at the villa before heading in search of a lake. I hear there is one missing.

Not sure if we will get the chance to meet this weekend. Time is so short when we get down here.
