  • New Owner - Branson

I'm going through the buying process for something like this ebay except it's every year (deeded at Grand Crowne).

It's our first timeshare (yes we bought resale), will we pull any trades if we don't stay at one of their resorts? It wouldn't have to be on-season, or a really fancy place, but would want to go to Orlando and maybe Hilton Head Island.

Orlando is an easy trade. HHI will be tougher. Branson is very popular and in demand for the months of June, July and August. July is probably your best month to book if you're wanting the best exchange power possible.

I can't tell you Grand Crown's trading power. I can tell you it's one of the eaiser resorts for me to exchange into in Branson. It has a good location but is a VERY large resort. Even thought it's very easy to pull as an exchange, it's one of the Branson resorts we have yet to stay at.

Well, I'm still happy I could pull Orlando! Thanks for the help.

        Gosh -

We have a two bedroom lock out/off in Branson - that we deposit as two units --- and during the off season - our little Branson unit has pulled several two bedrooms and one three bedroom in Hilton Head - one of those was during spring break 2007 - guess that is not off season ..... think we have been to Hilton Head 4 times - exchanging our little lock off Branson ----- more amazing things have happened ....... Don't get me wrong. I believe you can still pull HHI with a Branson week. It just might take a little more effort than other area's one could own. If I were to attempt to trade one of my Branson weeks for HHI I'd book a summer week (July would be my choice if possible) and then deposit, request and wait. You may or may not get an instant match or you may not get the creme de la creme of the resorts on HHI but I'm sure you would get something acceptable.

Orlando, on the other hand, is like falling off a log. At least that's what I find with I.I. Even with my one bedroom non-five star unit I can pull great 2 bedroom resort weeks most of the year.

Spring Break really isn't high season for HHI but, IMO it's probably a great time to go. We were there in May and it was getting to be a little to warm for us. I believe the tough season for HHI would be summer (June-August). It really just depends on when you want to go and what quality/location your willing to accept. I could have made an instant exchange using a Marriott to Marriott exchange but, I wanted one of the Marriott resorts on the beach in May. It took a little longer to pull that off even using another Marriott week.
