  • Today's Branson Weather

We are in that blob of freezing/frozen stuff on the national weather radar. We have been getting it for around 18 hours now and have at least another day.

If you are downstream, this one's for real.

We have 3-7" inches of the white stuff predicted for tomorrow, with maybe some ice on top.

Oy - I'm not looking forward to this. Only 2-4" predicted for us in central Jersey but then there will be the ice too. A good chance of a snow day for the kids tomorrow - oh well, we are expecting the delivery of a Wii today (we broke down and spent some Christmas money on this little toy) so I think the kids are going to REALLY enjoy it if they have the day off tomorrow.

We're in that mess you're probably hearing about on the news. We've been on generator for 30 hours. Probably won't see a power crew for days.

I've spent most of the daylight hours on the roof of the Margaritaville Dock, trying to save it.

        Life is fun.

Hope that you can save your dock. Will send a special request upstairs for you.

The early news showed docks that have collapsed. I find it strange that no one else has been trying to save them. Every one of them is on the verge of collapse.

The electric infrastructure in Northern AR is in ruins, including the high voltage transmission lines that have to be replaced by helicopter.

Tomorrow we're going to town for showers.

They're getting close. A scout vehicle came down the road three hours ago and the electric company crews are staging five miles from here. Power is on there.

Wow! We have some of the most amazing things this morning!!!

Like, in some rooms there are these knobs and when you turn them hot water comes out.

How did your dock do with all the ice, etc.? Were you able to save it?

The dock is OK. Some collapsed and my neighbors have been running around dealing with something or other on their dock, the one we were in for nine years.

Two days ago (2/7) was the 1-year anniversary of deadly tornadoes just south of us, the area that took the brunt of the ice storm this year. The mix is right for tornados tomorrow; today is to be 70° and very windy.
