I think the Dells is becoming overbuilt with timeshares and rental condominiums. The usage season is very short, this place is like a no man's land in the off season, with the weekends bringing visitors. the number of businesses that went under this year is pretty high, although it was crowded peole were not spending.
to name a few: Quizno's, Houlihan's , Cold Stone Creamery, Famous Dave's closed til spring, Sharkey's bar, and the planned development on the lower dells went into bankruptcy
