About the Atrium
About the Atrium
Beginning December 17, the David Rubenstein Atrium on Broadway at 62nd Street opens daily. Day-of Discount Tickets/Zucker Box Office opens January 7.
In the meantime, join us for Target Free Thursdays.
Come to the David Rubenstein Atrium on Broadway between 62nd and 63rd Streets and explore what Lincoln Center has to offer! This new space serves as:
•A resource for day-of discount tickets for all 12 Lincoln Center organizations
•A venue for free performances as part of Target Free Thursdays
•The starting point for guided tours of the campus
•A gateway for information about Lincoln Center and its exciting redevelopment
•The home of Chef Tom Colicchio’s ’wichcraft café
•A destination for free Wi-Fi access
•A vibrant community gathering place to linger and enjoy
The Atrium also features two vertical gardens; a floor-to-ceiling fountain; a media wall with performance information, which also serves as a canvas for video presentations; an art installation by Dutch textile artisan Claudy Jungsta; and 16 “occuli” lighting fixtures that bring natural light and state-of-the-art illumination into the Atrium’s interior.
The facility is named in honor of the philanthropist, financier, and Vice Chairman of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts David Rubenstein, in recognition of his $10 million gift to the Bravo Campaign. The Tod Williams Billie Tsien design reflects a respect for the materials used throughout Lincoln Center and provides an open, accessible, and inviting environment. The Atrium is expected to be the first LEED certified, “green” building on the Lincoln Center campus.
The David Rubenstein Atrium, formerly known as the Harmony Atrium, is one of approximately 530 Privately Owned Public Spaces in New York City created under a longstanding program that offers zoning concessions to office and residential developers in return for accessible plazas, arcades, atria, and other public spaces. The Harmony Atrium was originally conceived as a lively gathering place for local residents as well as visitors, and The David Rubenstein Atrium proudly fulfills this original vision.
The David Rubenstein Atrium is now your destination for day-of discount tickets to all 12 Lincoln Center resident organizations. Choosing a show and getting your seats for less is hassle-free! Come to the Atrium Tuesday through Sunday to peruse that day’s performances campus-wide, or ask questions at the information desk, then step up to the box office to purchase your tickets for that same evening. Credit cards are accepted, though there is a limit of two tickets per person and discounts vary by performance.
Should you wish to buy full-price tickets while perusing the event listings, these can be purchased at the kiosks by the information desk or at Lincoln Center venue box offices:
Alice Tully Hall
Avery Fisher Hall
David H. Koch Theater
Jazz at Lincoln Center

And feel free to stay a while!
