A good question, especially since you probably don't go for a whole week, right?

Also, I bet Priceline would be good for AC - has anyone tried it?

I have used a long weekend and have been able to split my weekend with a week in the summer. There is a $50 charge for doing that,

I have a feeling that quite a few timeshare owners, including me, are asking that same question today and certainly if bought directly from one of the big timeshare developers with the ever increasing maintenance fees and change of rules on a whim but always to their advantage, of course.

I really feel for the Starwood owners when I read their threads here and on TUG. They have a lot to complain about and it looks to me like a revolt is brewing if you read this thread, for instance, or a bold statement in a signature file like this:

The cold hard facts: You could get scammed buying a timeshare from Starwood.

Starwood would have stopped it cold, if it weren't true.

It certainly is the time for renting a timeshare today rather than owning unless you own one that is run properly by the owners for the owners without the developer collecting any fees they can dream up any time. JMHO.
