  • Great funk band, Live Society, Bitter End and Newburgh, NY

We saw these guys at the Bitter End a few weeks ago, they are really really good, great vocals. They are playing at the Bitter End tomorrow, and a few dates after that, here's the schedule and their website: Lawren, how far are you from Newburgh?

Not far at all. I can choose between Newburgh and Middletown.

Did you like them that much? Is there a music sample I can listen to and forward to my friends?

Here's a link with some cuts from their CD. For a bar band, they were a real treat. I wouldn't drive an hour to see them, but I would drive a half hour if they were playing at a fun place (I always enjoy the Bitter End, but we have an "in" there). Excellent vocals, like 6 guys singing. Good musicians, good songs. Kind of a funk/motown sound.
