Did you ask them first if they come to your area? I posted there before I bought it.
I just saw there are fees to go to other areas. He did not mention this when I first asked. I can see NYC from my house and they want $35 to come here. Long Island is $75
It looks like I am going to cancel my purchase. I can not see paying a $35 fee when I am so close to the city, That is a 40% fee, Glitter your fee is $75 making it close to 90%. I have not canceled yet but I am about to, I am going to ask the wife if she wants to do this.
Just wondering what is the cost to go to a cooking class in NYC? Is it more than $65 a person, I remember my wife going under $50 a person last year.

Frank, we are doing it in NYC so no extra fee. Imo, I don't think and extra $35 to go to Queens is too much - that makes it $124 for a private class in your home, including all groceries and cleanup. Even if you are near the subway, it's not a short ride, and I don't think you are near a subway? A cab from the city would add up, too, not to mention time to get in/out of Manhattan. Retail is $300 plus travel. You can probably find a cooking class for less, but you would have to go and there would be other people there, I don't think you can compare them. Still, it's understandable if you don't want to spend the extra $, since it was in the "fine print."
Anyway, we have our phone consultation set up and will get to choose the menu, I am looking forward to it!

Since you put it that way I might take it, I showed this to my wife and she did not want it, I have now talked her into it. I might just keep it. She said she paid $125 for a full cooking class last year in NYC, and $50 for LI somewhwere.

We ended up buying 2, My wife wnts to give it to my son and his GF, So there will be 4 of us cooking at once but paying 1 travel fee
We didn't need a weekend, but you were lucky to get one! I thought they were excluded from the offer initially, and when we spoke to them last week they had no weekends left until February.
What are you cooking, Frank? We chose Moroccan Braised Beef, Creamed Spinach with Gruyere cheese, and Duchess potatoes... I wanted to try something I haven't done and don't have a good handle on (and would go with one of the nice red wines we got in Napa)...
