  • Sold my timeshare week -- Keep RCI?

I have two weeks deposited (good through 2008), and a couple of developer "bonus weeks" in my spacebank. My trading power had diminished so much over the past four years, I wasn't getting anything. Now, I'm trying to decide if I just want to rent. Has anyone kept the RCI membership active to be able to get the "last call" and "rental weeks"? Are there better deals that you have found?

My understanding is that RCI doesn't want members who don't own a TS. Does that mean that RCI plans to close your membership because you sold your only TS, NO. But, if you don't make a fuss, RCI will probably be happy to keep your membership and your dues for a while.

    Good Luck

You don't need to be a member of RCI to rent from RCI.

A couple of years ago, I got a guest certificate for an extra vacation, and the VC told me that my guest could have her own RCI account. All she had to do was call and tell them I referred her, and of course pay the membership fee. Then she could have all the extra vacations she wanted without paying for a guest certificate. She didn't take them up on it, and I wonder if this is still the case.
