Has anyone got any recent feedback after staying at the Manhattan Club on the $25/$15 service charges? How are they explaining it and what are you really getting for it?

Any feedback on Manhattan Club Service Fees?

They are charging the fees, they are not explaining it. If you question the front desk they will ask you to call RCI or the hotel manager. And in case you missed the earlier threads on this, there is basically nothing being provided for the fee that wasn't being provided before, and that ain't much.

The best way to respond to these unethical fees is to barbeque Manhattan Club on your VEP report back to RCI. Give them a ''1'' in at least the ''Resort Hospitality'' and ''Check-in/Check-out'' catgories, if not across the board in all categories, and in the comments section explain your displeasure with their rip off fee. If reaction to their fee causes them to lose their numbers for Gold Crown status, then, hey, it is just their own darn fault!

The staff is certainly feeling the pain. Tips are way down in view of the fees that are supposed to cover housekeeping and concierge, etc...

If so, where do I find them?

"I have paid a $25/15 a day "tip" to the front desk for your services,
please see them to collect"
That would be interesting...

We refused to pay the fee after the housekeeper thought we had checked out and threw away our food, booze, magazines, restaurant.com certificate, 2 tickets to a comedy club etc. We were not on the checkout list but my son was leaving and my daughter arriving and there were no bags in the unit. They didn't want to waive the fee, citing "hospitality", but my daughter yelled "you want us to pay extra for your maid stealing our stuff???" They reversed the charge.Jacki
