  • Manhattan Club Parking?

Where is the parking for the Manhattan Club and how much does it cost? Does anyone know details on this?

There is a garage that they use just across the street but just west of MC. Pull up to MC and the valet will come, give you a ticket then drive your car around the block and back to the garage (It's a one way street) You can arrange to have your car ready through the MC front desk when you need it. I am not sure about the exact price but I think it was in the $25-$35 per day range and you can drive in/out as often as you like. You pay the fee at MC upon check out.

The valet parking at MC is $30 day

You might want to google Icon Parking. By parking a few blocks west, you can save $5-10 per day. If you do plan on using your car a few times during the week to leave the city, then the valet is the way to go.

It's expensive, $30/day - it's valet, they could care less about your vehicle. Unless we think we'll need the car (and why would we with one of the best mass transit systems in the world!) we park at the Ferry in NJ - take the ferry over and use the free bus to get within a block or two of MC. If we have a lot of luggage, rare for us, then we drive in, unload and then one goes back to park in NJ. Having a car in NYC is usually more pain than it's worth.

          That's a great idea.

Check on this with NY Waterway (that's the ferry company in NJ). It used to be that you were not allowed to park in their lot after four o'clock in the morning.

I can't believe they would make you pay... They charge like $2k for maintenance fees.

It's NYC and it's not their lot. The fee they charge is the same or less than it'd cost you if you parked in the same garage yourself. The MFs there are indeed extremely high, but I don't think including parking is a reasonable expectation. Most owners don't bring cars - if I were an owner I certainly wouldn't want the cost of parking to be included in my maintenance fees.
