Not even sure if I can go or not but I had over heard my son talking about this band a week ago. Maybe he knew about this free deal and was talking about it with a friend. He is a way now but is coming back on Thursday. Maybe he will take his GF out on Thursday night when they get back

Great! They do this periodically to fill the space. They do fine on the food/drinks since there's a minimum per show so it's worth it to them to eat $40 at the door. The band probably loses more on the door than the house, unless they're getting a flat fee.
