I heard on the radio yesterday that NYC had a record 50 million visitors in 2011. But there are bedbugs even at the Ritz. Please people, stay away!

Ugh more bedbugs! NY is sure having its share of them. Be careful people. Scary!

Bedbugs have been found at a slew of Gotham landmarks recently. The Empire State building, Abercrombie & Fitch and the AMC Empire 25 Theatres all have had their problems.

Not that I've heard of. I'm sure it'd be somewhere on the timeshare boards if they had. The hotels have gotten good at dealing with them.

We have stayed in NYC at the Manhattan Club, HGVC West 57th Street, and Hilton Vacation Club on Avenue of the Americas. There were no problems with bed bugs at any of these places when we were there.

For what it is worth, we far prefer the Hilton Vacation Club, especially with the free breakfast and free evening drinks and food.

Prior to bidding on priceline I looked through the registry. After I got a room at my price I saw it was at the Roosevelt near Grand Central. I like the hotel, been there before, but I saw it was on the registry. Off we went anyways. Saw no bugs and no evidence of bugs. Great stay!

I try not to tell too many people about our great stay there. I'd prefer others stay home and leave the travel adventures to me!

Joe won't let us go to the movies anymore. They've had tons of problems with the movie theaters here in NY. The last movie we saw was when we were in Cape Cod over the summer!
