If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Any good ones to recommend? Shall we gather?

Lower Hudson Valley had 14 nights of restaurant week but I was away for 1. Always falls on my birthday. Oh dear another birthday prix-fixxe dinner out?

Only got to 2 this year but they were quite good ones.

I took a quick look at the restaurants that are participating, and it seems that many are not on the list this year. Strange.

The ones that I would normally recommend are not there.

shoot me now, I just drafted a long thought out analysis and got logged out before it posted. ARGH.

        Quick synopsis:

Besito - upscale mexican, they mash the guac tableside. A bit of a weekend "scene," or it used to be.
Lola - this is my favorite in Nassau County
Thyme - also a great meal, generous portions - they have a regular weeknight prix fixe that is $24.95
The Brass Rail - also really good, a bit more bustling than the two above - a little further from me or I'd go more often

Crabtree Kettle House (not on Long Island, it's in Chappaqua but somehow on the LI list) - I haven't been but someone just recommended it

And did you notice the Sea Grill at Gurney's on the list? Not recommending it, just sayin

Bumping...enjoying a good restaurant isn't as fun when your going out with a 6yr old who really only enjoys plain spaghetti, plain steak or chicken fingers...but i need to try something!

Darn, I missed the Hamptons Week - it was 4/7-14/2013 - not, this is NEXT year.

              Some good east end ones....

RUMBA! - we go there all the time :dancingturtle: on Shinnecock Bay - have the Prickly Pear Margarita

Oaklands - great location right on the water at Shinnecock Inlet - both of these are in Hampton Bays.

              Stone Creek Inn, East Quogue

              Claudios in Greenport

              Muse in Sag Harbor

RUMBA is opening up a sister restaurant "Cowfish" also on Shinnecock Bay where Indian Cove used to be...can not wait.
