OMG, this was a fantastic meal. Turns out it's a place I've walked by a million times, across the street from our favorite Village pub. GREAT neighborhood. Generous helpings for a tasting menu, and everything delicious. Not nearly as heavy as the usual swedish offerings. We had the meatballs, gravlax, parsnip soup, kale salad w/sweet butternut squash, seafood stew and the pork chop. Vanilla waffles and cheesecake for dessert. The room is lovely with interesting art. They weren't expecting the response they got to the Gilt special so were a bit understaffed. If you buy this, mention the Gilt tasting menu when you make a reservation. The included cocktails were delicious and $12 each on menu, and the wine pairings were all good and full measures. Please remember to tip on the full value, which is $189. I just bought two more certificates.
