What is the closest Timeshare near Cooperstown? Want to take the grandson there next summer. We would be up to a day trip or an overnight trip from the resort.

There really aren't any.

Lake Placid Club Lodges (RCI) is about 200 miles away. If you haven't been to the area I would highly recommend it. You are too late for next summer but right on target for 2015.

Lake George is an impossible trade in season.

Via Roma (II) in Callicoon is probably the closest about 100 miles.

Try for Villa Roma, but it's a very difficult trade in the summer. If you can get it, it's great for kids and families. There's also Kaaterskill Mountain House (in the Catskills) and Hope Lake Lodge in Cortland, which is a bit closer than Villa Roma. It has a water park.
