What is the consensus about the Manhattan Club in I guess Manhattan. Is a one bed sleep 4 actually big enough for 4 for a week ?

IMO it will be cramped. The couch beds are terribly uncomfortable.
The bathrooms are nice because they have two full bathrooms.
You could get a rollaway bed but if you needed two there might not be room for both.
Is it 4 adults or are you going to have kids?
With kids it would be okay.

It's more than fine for a family of four, but I agree it'd be cramped for two couples. The studios would also work for a family of four, imo, but only have one bath.

Agree with this as well.
They will give you a rollaway bed in the 1BR sleep 4 so with only one person in the double sofa bed, it would be fine.

We were thinking about bringing another couple but Im thinking maybe not. My trade is for a 1 bed sleep 4 for next fall.

If they will be just grateful to have a sofabed to sleep on and you are close friends it would be ok. NYC hotel rooms are at a crazy high in the fall. Also, some of the 1 bedrooms have more private setups than others.

I like the extra room but my wife likes her sister. Last time we shared a small condo with these people we did have a great time but I ended up sleeping with the bil on the sleeper sofa which was odd for the bil and me at first. I guess we stay up to late.

I cant believe that I was able to get this exchange so fast. I only requested it 2 weeks ago. The week in this unit is costing about $830 including the exchange fee. I was told that there is a daily charge for maid service of $30 a day so I guess were in it for about $1040 total for a 1 bed -2 bath unit. Hopefully the RCI units are good at this place.

That is a steal for a fall week in Manhattan with that much space in a good neighborhood. There is some variety in unit size, but I don't think it's very RCI dependent. When you check in, let them know that you are two couples and ask if they would try to put you in a slightly larger unit where the living room is distinctly separate from the bedroom, instead of the ones with just french doors in between. That should work fine for you and your sister/bil.
