  • New Hampshire is beautiful

Just returned from two nights in the White Mountain area. Thank you Tony for suggesting it, and to Tom Westlake for finding me a place. The area is gorgeous, ad South Mountain in Lincoln was very nice. Next trip, I am going to try for a wlole week in New Hampshire.

no, when we got there the top of the mountain was under clouds and 70 mph winds, so they stopped short. we did not give ourselves enough time. spend 4 hours at Franconia Notch and the Flue. drove all the way around, got stuck in heavy traffic in North Conway, drove the Kangamawgus with lots of stops and didthe Lost River trip, then drove back roads to Squam Lakes. wish we had had more time.

I should have warned you about North Conway. Glad you enjoyed the White Mountain region.

Frank, isn't the Cranwell in MA? Or is there one in NH also?

Glad you are enjoying yourself Pat.
I love this area of the country especially at this time of the year, spectacular fall foliage & did you get a day of fog?
The area just takes on a whole other perspective with the fog. Never thought I'd find fog so amazing but it is in NH.

LOL Yeah in New England they aren't real big on informational signs, or even signals for that matter............ why that would give away our game plan!!

There is supposed to be a waterfall on Baker Brook that we couldn't find and no one we talked to had any idea where it was.

Glad you enjoyed NH, a week there is always my favorite vacation!

My NH sign gripe - those signs that list: gas, hotels, food, etc. At least on 93 they put them all half way down the exit ramp! I never understood this. By the time you see them it is too late to do anything about it. At least in MA they are on the highway and you know what is coming up at the next exit and have time to decide if you wish to take it.
