I was so excited to see this match to my ongoing request for a holiday ski week. Before confirming I wanted to check out the nearby mountain since I'd not heard of it -- well, guess what?? Ascutney Mountain Resort HAS BEEN CLOSED DOWN as of 2010!!! Nearest decent skiing is at Okemo, 40 minutes away without traffic. Uh... no thanks! I feel for the owners at the timeshare here, though I'm sure it's beautiful in the warmer months.

For holiday skiing, I am not too picky and have stayed in dumps that are likely worse, especially in VT, but they were close to an operating mountain resort!
