  • Living Social: Picnic in Central Park for two by Pappardella $39 (reg. $90)

I like this restaurant and it's a simple way to do a picnic in the park if you don't want to just grab a sandwich... It's just a block in from the park, so easy to pick up and walk over. I haven't tried their brunch, but dinner is very good.

Devoted to sharing Tuscan cuisine for nearly 30 years, the Zagat-rated Pappardella can take the stress out of planning a romantic picnic or a sweet family outing:
    • $39 ($90 value) for a four-course meal picnic basket for two
    • $34 ($68 value) brunch for two
    • $65 ($136 value) brunch for four
The picnic basket includes antipasto and handmade pasta to share, two veggie or prosciutto sandwiches, fresh Italian bread drizzled with olive oil, and two lemon bars for dessert. Bring your meal over to Central Park's Strawberry Fields or Bethesda Fountain -- the perfect setting for an afternoon picnic.
For brunch, enjoy offerings like smoked salmon crostini, the vegetarian-friendly salciccia omelet, or a crespelle dolci jam-packed with caramelized banana and nutella.

Thanks! That's a good deal, and a reason to go to Central Park.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Wouldl you believe I got a little lost in the park earlier this week? I am so used to going "to" the park, but when I tried to cross the park to get from east to west on foot without walking on the narrow sidewalk next to the vehicle transverse, I realized I didn't know how to do it!
