Agree, these are great tours…and in June you can sit up top/outside.

I am also a BIG fan of the Circle Line Tour http://www.circleline42.com/new-york-cruises/home.aspx

Looks good. I think I'll be booking one of these.

I have always wanted to do the Uptown Loop but am too lazy. And it goes right past my apartment!

I am a terrible tourist in my own backyard.

Growing up in the 70's in NYC there were hardly any tourists like you see crawling all around Manhattan. I am glad NYC is such a great attraction to all visitors near and far!

Personally I like to be under lazy palm trees, and on a beach enjoying a nice tropical breeze!

          Enjoy your visit!

The locals are giving you good advice. I've only been to NYC once and this was on my list to do....but at that time it only interested me (my kids were youngish) and we didn't go. If/when I return-it will be on the top of my list. I love "period" museums. Hawaii's Plantation Village is another example of this. If any else has visited-please chime in.

If you like Polish food and want an excellent meal, take the G train to Brooklyn. Get off at Greenpoint. Walk a block to Manhattan Ave, then a couple blocks over to 853 Manhattan Ave. Christina's Restaurant. BEST Polish food ever! I like the Polish platter, others like the Hungarian pancake. Their kielbasa is excellent. If you go on a white borscht soup day (wed/sun???) make sure to order it. Call ahead to find out when they serve it - 718.383.4382

I've been known to make a short trip to the city just to go to Christina's

A cautionary word on bike rentals - biking in the park is not for the feint of heart, especially on the weekends. It's crowded, and the paths are used by serious cyclists in training who go speeding through. A friend of mine was knocked off her bicycle and broke her wrists. Even when walking, you need to watch out for these people. At Riverside Park, it's even worse because it's a very long, straight stretch and they really pick up mad speed.

My kids have been there on field trips. I think you MUST take a guided tour at this museum--and then the quality of your experience depends on the quality of your guide. And it's pricey. Could be good if you have a special fondness for history tours.

This is on my list of Must Do At Some Point. I know many locals who give it rave reviews. And the surrounding neighborhood is now extremely vibrant, albeit "tragically hip" at times, in some places. You could also combine this with exploring Chinatown.

Thanks for the this suggestion. Unfortunately, I am not much of a history guy

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.
