  • How bad is Wind in the Pines (Great Barrington), really?

I'm considering a getaway, cant' find any recent reviews. I don't mind basic but need clean and warm.

    TIA

Like a lot of places, some seem to like it and some not.

It sounds like you already know that.

    good luck

I stopped by there several years ago and took a look. It was nothing special, but not what I would call unstayable. It is a motel conversion, so it's not a roomy place. Perhaps I'll take another look someday when I have the time.

I should do that, too, even if I don't stay there. I am often in the area and my favorite yarn store is right down the street. Thursday checkins are a plus, too.

It sounds like a place Seinfeld and George would be driving to, stopping along the way to visit Bubble Boy.

Ok I stopped by and peeked in a few windows (nobody in the office on Sundays). I would agree with your assessment, so booked a $249 getaway. Will report back in February
